Warm weather

Summer is on it’s way here in Adelaide, to has been in the high twenties with recent days getting into the thirties. Excellent times. I feel for all those people over in the uk who are going into their winter.

Speaking of summer I have quit umpiring cricket. After five years I have had enough and decided to free up my weekends.

I can’t believe that this weekend I’m actually going to get a two day weekend. Yes yes yes!

Having said that I’ve got nothing planned which is going to be sensational.

Something that I haven’t mentioned which I usually post on is an apple event. Most recently apple released the new MacBook and MacBook pros. Not having seen them in person my initial impressions are that the internals are great but I don’t like the external look.

Busy times at the airport

This wasn’t the best day in history. Way way too busy but thad a good thing I suppose.

Nuff said about that.

Booked some more holidays. Now I know how all these people who say that ‘I can’t wait for my next holiday’ feel. Some much needed time off was great.

Yet aaun the bus is filling up again bit it’s the usual crowd ie no kids yet.

A little cold today which is probably the reason.

I love family guy.

Getting back into it is fun

I’m back into the swing of things again now. I been back at work for a week now. Everything is exactly how it was. Almost, a few people are gone some new ones have arrived. It’s all called progress.

Cricket season also started last weekend. All I had to do was go out there and call the game off. One end of the pitch was just mud.

It’s currently school holidays and boy are there too many kids around. Won’t they just hurry up and go back. Even worse the summer holidays are coming and they will be around all the time.

One thing that I’m not happy with at the moment is the fact that I haven’t been for a run in a five weeks. Really need to start doing it again.

I think I need another holiday again.

Yet again I’m going to mention that I am writing this blog post while on the bus on the way home.

Emo kids are making out just in front of me. Get a dam room. Dam school holidays.

Arrived

I am now here in Glasgow. It’s early morning and I have finally had a good sleep. I guess no matter what county I’m in I’m always going to be a morning person. No way am I going to be able to get back to sleep soon.

The person who I’m staying with is working today so I’ve got the day to myself. I think I might have a snooze this afternoon but besides that nothing else is planned.

One thing for sure it doesn’t feel like I am on the otherside of the planet.

I’ve got a few picutres that have been taken from the trip over that I will link to when I get them up. Can’t remember if I have already posted this but I’m taking up apples sixty day free mobile me trial. It’s had issues I know but for the limited amount of time that a I used it it has been fine.

This is where the wordpress app failed again. I got a sms, went to view it as the app has a recovery mode that should save my work. Well it didn’t, it only saved up to the point where I hit save before. Think I may need to get into the habbit of hitting save after every paragraph. SAVED!

Back to where I was

The a380 is simply sensational. Extreemly quiet and has a powered USB port at every seat, even in economy. Awesome.

Watched my iPod the whole dam trip. Didn’t watch a single peice of entertainment offered by the airline.

The trip

Here I am on the flight from adelaide to Singapore.

First of all I was one of the pasengers that was requested to get on the plane because your fellow passengers are waiting foe you. Was dam duty free alright. I wanted some duty free. Hehe

Anyways thats all good.

I have some one doing calisthenics infrint of me. Funny as hell.

Got the best seat possible in economy. No seat infront of me. Ohhh the leg room. Boo yea.

So yea about that benny hin post. Oh thoes Christians as always make me laugh.

Here I am now having a pint in Singapore. Haven’t paid for it yet but I’m fully expecting it to be the most expensive beer I’ve ever had. The joys of going through Singapore. Such a first world issue.

I’ve still got about 26 hours to go.

Best thing about the pub I was just at is that they had wifi. My addiction was satisified. Sweet.

Now I’m in the departure lounge for my flight to London. All is good. Only got a bloody 14 hour flight ahead of me. Last time I went through Germany, this time I get to go straight to London. No stinky people, hopefully hehe.

Not yet missing work.

Off Tomorrow

Well well as I’m writing this I have just finished my last day of work before “the big trip”. Very very excited.

Smsing people in Scotland I’m that excited. It should be good. Have a nice rest.

Three weeks and four days off would sound good to just about anyone I would think.

As I sit here on this bus it is a nice gloomy adelaide, exactly what Scotland is going to be like.

Packing wise I’ve done nothing. I have a list. I have everything on the list. Just gotta get the list in
to the bag. Done it before I’m sure I can do it again.

Have popped up to the local bottelo and got a six pack of pale ale. Haven’t had this stuff in ages. I’m really a Budweiser man myself.

Gotta start packing now.

First in a while, hopefully not the last

Well I have to really start blogging more.

Hopefully this post gets me on my way.

Next week I’m off to Scotland for a few weeks. I should have a net connection with plenty of free time to do as I wish.

At this stage of the game I need a little rest from work. Over the last year and a half since starting at my current job I have only taken two annual leave days and no sick days. Good on me I say.

This post is solely being written on my new iPhone on the bus on the way home. Depending how this goes I might start doing this more often.

In other news I have the British and a league spreadsheets up and running. Hopefully more will be coming soon. All depends how much time I get while I’m in Scotland.

This weekend I also need to setup a gallery so that I some where to put the pics.

Have been toying over whether to get mobile me. It has an excellent gallery feature that wouldn’t have to be maintained by myself. Flickr also looks a good option but lacks a decent os x uploaded on my opinion.

Wow this bus trip is going nice and quickly today. I don’t know why I didn’t do this sooner.
